Joyful Energy

From the artist’s Energy series, 2014. CHUNG’s creative process often taps into his accumulated emotions and intuitive sense for aesthetics. The vividly colored foliage that surfaced within his mind are positioned in the center of the artwork, framed on both sides by darker, muted colors, which pull attention towards the imagery and colors in the middle. When viewed as a whole, one can perceive fresh and pleasant energy radiating from the transparent red and white color blocks at the heart of the composition.
