Happy Energy

From the artist’s Energy series, 2014. This artwork is composed of various points, lines, and planes, paired with bright, high-contrast coloring. The leaf shape used in this work is not only indicative of actual plants but can also be understood in other ways: the singular leaf can be interpreted as a “point” element, as well as regarded as small representations of the artist’s or viewers’ goodwill. The juxtaposition of prominent swaths of darker tones highlights the slow diffusion of happy energy from within.
